This week was a great one for us!  We had three conference matches that in order to move up in rankings we needed to win. Despite the fact that we were out some players due to illness and injury, we were able to overcome adversity and win all three matches 3-0.

They were great wins for us and confidence boosters for the team. Each one of these games were so much fun for us to play and very enjoyable for our fans to watch. I believe that as a team we have grown for the fact that we were able to come off a not so good weekend, and win three straight conference games.

I think a lot of the way we played this week stemmed from the devotion we had before Monday night’s game. Senior Meredith Lynch led devotions that night with the theme of “overcoming fears.” She gave each one of us a paper that a different fear on it, for example “fear of not being perfect”. We each went around and read out loud the fear we held in our hands. After each one was read we tore the papers to pieces and threw them into the middle of our circle. This was to signify that we no longer had any fears and that we were going to be fearless from here on out.

I think it was at that moment we, as a team, realized that we have to overcome our fears to truly play the best that we can play. When we realized that we were able to dominate and be that team that we all know we are.

We hope to have another great week this week!

Until next time, GO LADY BUFFS!!!
