The past two weeks have been crazy! First off, we had a great win over fall break. Sam Barton scored in double overtime with 0.5 seconds left on the clock!!  Just picture Coach Buckley running on the field, screaming, and starting a dog pile! It was amazing.

Next, we beat King the following game 1-0. This was a great accomplishment because the program has not beaten our local rival in 5 years!!

Finally, coming back from a 2-0 deficit to tie University of the South to tie 2-2 was the topping on the cake. Our team is starting to really come together which is just in time because our next four games are all conference games. Those are must-wins, and I believe we can do it!

As for the past week, Mother Nature has not been very cooperative! It rained everyday last week, meaning practice was wet and muddy. All I have to say is – Fartlek run in ankle deep puddles. Hilarious and unreal. Also, three players wiping out make for some good laughter, after we made sure they weren’t hurt!! The rain has given us a chance to get ourselves back in shape and refocus on our goal of winning conference.
